Two Temple Place
Project Location: Two Temple Place, London
Client: Weldon
Description: Two Temple Place, a neo-Gothic mansion on London's Victoria Embankment, stands as a testament to late Victorian opulence and craftsmanship. Commissioned in the 1890s by William Waldorf Astor and designed by architect John Loughborough Pearson, the building features intricate woodwork, ornate carvings, and a majestic hammer beam ceiling.
Collaborating with Weldon, specialists in manufacturing and restoring bespoke timber flooring, I was tasked with capturing the meticulous restoration of the mansion's historic floors. Through detailed photography and videography, the project highlights the seamless blend of traditional techniques and modern restoration practices employed to preserve the building's heritage.
This visual documentation not only showcases the intricate flooring patterns and craftsmanship but also serves as a valuable resource for interior designers, architects, and heritage conservationists interested in high-end restoration projects within iconic London landmarks.
